“How are you?” These words are often just a greeting, spoken without much expectation of an answer, which is usually “fine.” These days, though, as so many people are recovering from Sandy, these are sincere words, and we hope for a well-considered answer.
I truly am fine – Sandy gave the Finger Lakes region of New York rain and high winds, but we never lost power – and I am thankful. My family and friends – even those who live in and around New York City and Washington, DC – are all alive and well, and I am thankful. Of course, a storm like this does impact our daily lives and routine – flights are cancelled, public transportation is suspended, and restaurants and shops are closed.
The bad news is that we
will not be getting clearly did not get our November Timelines out – our editor lives and works in New York City, and she has a lot on her plate right now. The good news is, she’s alive and well, and we will get an issue out to you asap. [Better late than never!–ed.] Please let us know how you have fared lately. Did Sandy disrupt your life? Do you have pictures, or a story, to share with us? We’d love to hear from you.
Until next time, take care…and do have a merry Christmas!
